PRINTING THE FUTURE OF INFRASTRUCTURE

Innovation in Sustainable Architecture at Bergamo Airport

Architecture is currently breaking the boundaries of traditional construction. At the Orio al Serio International Airport (BGY) in Bergamo, our team documented a major turning point in modern infrastructure. We captured the unveiling of the first service building entirely 3D printed. This project was born from the synergy between WASP, a leader in 3D printing technology, and Edilco, specialists in innovative construction.

Photographic Documentation of Robotic Craftsmanship

Limboo managed the creative production and photographic documentation for this architectural milestone. Our mission was to capture the rhythmic and organic soul of the 3D printing process. Our visual approach focused on:

  1. Material Textures: Highlighting the unique “woven” layers of eco-friendly materials.
  2. Dynamic Angles: Using specific perspectives to show the contrast between the futuristic structure and the airport environment.
  3. Process Narrative: Moving from macro-details of the printing layers to the grand scale of the finished work.

Framing Sustainable Architecture

By using expert lighting and composition, Limboo translated a complex technical achievement into a powerful visual statement. We focused on the precision of robotic craftsmanship, ensuring the innovation felt tangible. This project was not just a technical shoot; instead, it was about documenting the future of sustainable architecture and automated building techniques. In short, our work provided a clear visual record of how 3D printing is officially entering the world of public infrastructure.
